HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ???
Imagine walking down the street on a hot summer day in a new pair of shoes, having left the Beauty Shop where you left your African-American girlfriend who was getting her hair done. Then you stop on the corner at the traffic light to wait for the green light. Several big semi-trucks stop on a dime because they have the red light.
As you stand there you notice some children eating ice cream and their mother is talking on her cell phone.
You had left the shop to just take a walk to see the sights of the city, but you need to find a bathroom first. You go into one of the office buildings and use the toilet. You get on an elevator and ride up to the third floor. While you are in that building, you enjoy the cool air from the air conditioner...and you stop to sharpen your pencil so that you can finish writing a letter that you started earlier.
Then you start back out on your walk again...and this time you notice a small jazz band playing in the park. So--before sitting down, you go into the near-by "Health Food Store" and purchase an herbal health drink."--Then you walk over to the park and sit down and listen to the soothing jazz for a while and sip on your herbal drink.
*Question: WHAT DO ALL OF THESE SITUATIONS AND PRODUCTS HAVE IN COMMON?

Early in the Twentieth Century, the Black community in Tulsa --the "Greenwood District"--became a nationally-renowned successful entrepreneurial center. Frequently referred to as "The Black Wall Street of America," the Greenwood District attracted pioneers from all over America whosought new opportunities and fresh challenges.
Legal segregation forced blacks to do business among themselves. The Greenwood District prosperedas dollars circulated within the black community. But fear and jealousy swelled in the greaterTulsa community. The alleged assault of a white woman by a black man triggered unprecedented civil unrest.
The worst riot in American history, the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 destroyed people, property, hopes, and dreams. Hundreds of people died or were injured. Property damage ran into the millions. The Greenwood District burned to the ground.
But ever courageous, the Greenwood District pioneers rebuilt the community from the ashes, bigger and better than ever. By 1942, some 242 businesses called the Greenwood District home.
Having experienced a decline in the 1960's, 1970's, and early 1980's, the Greenwood District is now poised for yet another renaissance. BLACK WALL STREET speaks to the triumph of the human spirit.
ORIGINS OF DEMOCRACY
Black people created the concepts !
Although most Americans think that the (Caucasian) FOUNDING FATHERS (Jefferson, Washington, Benjamin Franklin, etc. ) created the concepts of "democracy" -- that is not entirely accurate.
Those ideas originated a long time ago....among the ancient Africans.
AFRICA WAS THE ORIGINAL CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION
THE ANCIENT MOORS CREATED MANY OF THESE CONCEPTS OF GOVERNMENT AND LAWS. AND MOST OF THEIR IDEAS WERE ROOTED IN THOSE THAT ORIGINATED LONG AGO IN ANCIENT EGYPT.

BLACK INDIANS
History of Africans among the Native American Indians
BEFORE CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS ARRIVED in the Americas, there were descendants of Africans already there. The OLMECS are one group. BLACK INDIANS: the Washutaw Indians were on the shores when Columbus arrived.
Runaway African slaves often found new homes in American Indian villages. Even though classified as "slaves" in White society, many African Americans became part of an INDIAN family group, and many intermarried with Native Americans - thus many later became classified as Black Indians. This is a unique history between African (black) slaves and Native American Indians which developed in many U. S. communities.
"Despite every European effort to keep one dark people from assisting the other, the two races began to blend on a vast scale. Black Indians were apparent everywhere if one bothered to look. Thomas Jefferson, for example, found among the Mattaponies of his Virginia, "more negro than Indian blood in them." Another eyewitness reported Virginia's Gingaskin reservation had become "largely African." Peter Kalm, whose famous diary described a visit to the British colonies in 1750, took note of many Africans living with Indians, with marriage and children the normal result."

When more than 60,000 Native Americans were removed from their homes during the 1830s by U.S. Federal troops from the southeastern states of the United States - they were forced Westward to Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. This was called the "Trail of Tears."
In some cases, Blacks and Indians joined together in acts of rebellion to massacre White plantation owners and White soldiers. Many of these Native American tribes had previously embraced and either helped or kept numerous African Americans as slaves. African Americans and Native Americans created a mixed cultural blend depending upon the specific tribal group.

The leaders, achievers and civil rights fighters of the past changed the hearts and minds of a lot of evil-minded racists. For example: Jesse Owens dashed Hitler's dream of the superiority of the White race in 1936 when he won the Olympics race. People like: Dr. George Washington Carver, Jackie Robinson, Phillis Wheatley, Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, Muhammad Ali, Mary McCleod Bethune, and Maggie Walker also lead the way toward dispelling racial prejudice.
WHO WAS JIM CROW ?
Jim Crow was the name of the racial caste system which operated primarily, but not exclusively in southern and border states, between 1877 and the mid-1960s. Jim Crow was more than a series of rigid anti-Black laws. It was a way of life. Under Jim Crow, African Americans were relegated to the status of second class citizens. Jim Crow represented the legitimization of anti-Black racism.

ENTREPRENEURS CAN AND HAVE CHANGED THE COURSE OF HISTORY:
Since ancient civilizations in Africa --and up until modern times, Black people (aka: Negroes, African-Americans, Nubians, etc.) have contributed to the development of civilization via the creation and invention of millions of products, machines, and gadgets that have made life a lot easier.

Dr. Carter Woodson was up from slavery and went to college to become a PH.D. He wrote numerous books about the accomplishments and contributions of Black people to the civilization of the world. He is most famous for starting "Black History Month" observances in 1926, which originally was known as--"Negro History Week."
Thousands of technological inventions were patented by Black people ...including: the indoor toilet, traffic signal, roller blades, ironing board, the engine oiling mechanism, gas mask, air brakes, cell phone, medicines, light bulb, and many others.
BLACK AMERICANS WERE KIDNAPPED FROM THE LAND CALLED AFRICA:
In ancient Africa---Black people had their own civilizations, schools, temples, sciences, and many so-called modern conveniences hundreds of years before 1492 when Christopher Columbus sailed to the Americas.
And European explorers were not the first to find the Americas. Africans had been to the Americas and traded with the so-called Indians long before the Europeans thought of it. In fact, at one time in history, Africa was the "New York" of the world, where all new inventions, products, and concepts were found. Timbuktu was once the mecca for education.
Many run-away Black slaves lived with the Native American Indians. The so-called Indians were not racially prejudiced against the African-American slaves and gave them places to hide. Many Indians married Black people who had escaped from the cruel plantations.
Garrett A. Morgan invented the first traffic signal and sold it to General Electric, which revolutionized the way we monitor our roads, streets and highways.
AND WHAT WOULD AMERICA BE WITHOUT HER BLACK MUSIC? ...*Jazz, *Blues, *Rock & Roll----and so on.... all originated in Black culture.
BLACK PEOPLE HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED FOR THE USA:
You probably heard that some of the passengers resisted the hi-jackers---but DID you know that the pilot of the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania (Sept. 11, 2001)---- was a Black man (an African-American)........1st Captain Leroy Homer was a true hero! As a pilot,he refused to let his plane be used as a terrorist weapon! This act saved the U.S. Capitol,which was in full session! Both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives were in session! Not only did Captain Leroy Homer foil the assault on Capitol Hill, no one on Pennsylvania ground was injured! Now that is a heroic and outstanding act!...we also have an African American Hero= 1st Captain Leroy Homer
The first man to die in the American Revolution of 1776 when the colonies were fighting against the British was a Black man----Crispus Attucks.
FIGHTING FOR EQUALITY:
Rosa Parks has become known as the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" --because she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus--which lead to the famous Montgomery Bus Boycott.
The special examples of Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X (& leaders of the Civil Rights Movement) live on as part of this nation's rich cultural heritage for all Americans.
Thurgood Marshall won 29 of the 32 cases that he argued for "equality" before the Supreme Court.
Sojourner Truth was an ex-slave who helped other slaves escape from the cruel southern plantations via the Underground Railroad. She was also a fighter for the equal rights of women.
All of these events have helped all Americans to enjoy more democracy, higher levels of justice, and the right to protest against injustices. Every year we celebrate and observe "Black History Month" and the birthday of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.
On Religion & Spirituality:
Our world is filled with religious controversy--- i.e.--War in the Middle East (Jews vs. Muslims) ...Catholic Priest pedofiles... racial segregation... the Ku Klux Klan (and burning crosses) before the Supreme Court.... oppression & abuse of women... Taliban atrocities.... all in the name of God---etc.
Humanity is now in such a sorry state debating, fighting and killing over all of these different "religions" --but yet simultaneously all claiming to believe in the same God.

High-tech's 'Invisible Man'
"Black kids might embrace technology with more enthusiasm if they knew someone like Dr. Mark Dean was already leading the way."
You may not have heard of Dr. Mark Dean. And you aren't alone. But almost everything in your life has been affected by his work. See, Dr. Mark Dean is a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He is in the National Hall of Inventors. He has more than 30 patents pending. He is a vice president with IBM. Oh, yeah. And he is also the architect of the modern-day personal computer. Dr. Dean holds three of the original nine patents on the computer that all PCs are based upon. And, Dr. Mark Dean is an African American.
So how is it that we can celebrate the 20th anniversary of the IBM personal computer without hearing much about him? It certainly isn't IBM's doing. The mass media again are under the spotlight. Given all of the pressure they are under about negative portrayals of African Americans on television and in print, you would think it would be a slam dunk to highlight someone like Dr. Dean. Somehow, though, we have managed to miss the shot.
History is cruel when it comes to telling the stories of AfricanAmericans. Dr. Dean isn't the first Black inventor to be overlooked.... Consider John Stanard, inventor of the refrigerator; George Sampson, creator of the clothes drier; Alexander Miles and his elevator; Lewis Latimer and the electric lamp. All of these inventors share two things: One,--they changed the landscape of our society; and, two--society relegated them to the footnotes of history.
Hopefully, Dr. Mark Dean won't go away quietly as they did. He certainly shouldn't. Dr. Dean helped start a Digital Revolution that created people like Microsoft's Bill Gates and Dell Computer's Michael Dell. Millions of jobs in information technology can be traced back directly to Dr. Dean. More important, stories like Dr. Mark Dean's should serve as inspiration for African-American children. Already victims of the "Digital Divide" and failing school systems, young, Black kids might embrace technology with more enthusiasm if they knew someone like Dr. Dean was already leading the way. Although technically Dr. Dean can't be credited with creating the computer-- that is left to Alan Turing, a pioneering 20th-century English mathematician, widely considered to be the father of modern computer science -- Dr. Dean rightly deserves to take a bow for the machine we use today. The computer really wasn't practical for home or small business use until he came along, leading a team that developed the interior architecture (ISA systems bus) that enables multiple devices, such as modems and printers, to be connected to personal computers. In other words, because of Dr. Dean, the PC became a part of our daily lives. We cannot afford to let Dr. Mark Dean become a footnote in history. He is well worth his own history book.

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has urged Latin Americans not to celebrate Columbus Day, saying the explorer's expedition to the Americas in 1492 triggered a 150-year "genocide" of native Indians by foreign conquerors who behaved "worse than Hitler."
"Christopher Columbus was the spearhead of the biggest invasion and genocide ever seen in the history of humanity," the populist president said at a meeting of representatives of Indian peoples from across the continent Saturday.
"We Venezuelans, we Latin Americans, have no reason to honor Columbus," he said.

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq!
However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia.
The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
The name Iraq, means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.
And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...
The following verse is from the Koran, (Qur'an)--the Islamic Bible) Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

I think "WE" refers to the celestial beings from other planets who came here millions of years ago.
One of the most interesting things that I have found is this: No matter who said it---there seems to be a common thread in all the literature, stories, etc.--that human life started or originated from "aliens" who came to the Earth thousands and millions of years ago.
IT IS CONTROVERSIAL BECAUSE---This flies in the face of all theories about "EVOLUTION"--as Darwin described it. It also may confront many religious beliefs that life came from a mysterious spiritual miracle on Earth in the "Garden of Eden."
PROOFS:
Beliefs about "extraterrestrial" life are documented in scientific research and many books on the subject including: "CHARIOTS OF THE GODS" by E.Von Daniken, and "NOT OF THIS WORLD" --by Peter Kolosimo. Another interesting book titled: "The 12th Planet"---also asserts that beings came to the Earth thousands of years ago and mated with humans.
There are many books on this subject. Also, there is also a book written by Elijah Muhammad (leader of the Nation of Islam) about this topic. Elijah Muhammad taught about life on Mars and other planets for more than 30 years. He claimed that 'great black gods' had great scientific knowledge and they created civilizations on Earth millions of years ago. Some scientific facts and historians have documented that these stories may be based in reality. A book on this subject is: EZEKIEL'S CHILDREN.
In addition to many reports of sitings of UFOs---the U.S. Government possesses reports on the famous "Roswell Incident" in which there was supposedly a crash of a flying saucer in 1947, and debris from that crash was found. And many other reports of life on other planets have been made public in magazines and newspapers by American scientists.
"Wonders of the world"--such as: the Egyptian Pyramids... Stonehenge... Mayan pyramids... stories of flying carpets...Moses parting the seas... the lost city of Atlantis...Jesus feeding multitudes of people with a few loaves of bread and some fish... (etc.)--and other "miracles" may have been built or caused by these celestial beings who were highly advanced in the sciences.
Perhaps the Bible and other scriptures contain true accounts of HISTORICAL INFLUENCES of aliens from other planets. The knowledge of the ROOTS OF HUMAN LIFE ON EARTH puts everything that we know into its proper perspective.
If we were to find out for sure that (for example) Jesus actually was a descendant of people from Mars or Saturn---would that in any manner detract from the wonderful work that he performed while he was on Earth?
Or if any other great prophet (e.g. Muhammad, Buddha, Moses, etc.) were found to be descendants of celestial beings from another planet---does this diminish their works?
Never close your mind to investigation of history, facts, and the truth of all things.

The Connecticut State Supreme Court has upheld the case of ---Oswald Carrol v. Allstate Insurance (Hartford, CT; Feb. 2003)--- and awarded Carrol (an African-american) huge damages for racial discrimination. The Justices said the jury reasonably have found that the Allstate investigation "...was hasty, incomplete and ill-reasoned, tainted by racial bias and that it caused Carrol severe emotional distress. "

THE SINS OF STATE FARM INSURANCE CO.
A history of discrimination:
In 1992, 814 female agents sued State Farm for discrimination and won hundreds of millions in damages, which at the time, was the largest judgment ever in a discrimination case. 814 women who were denied jobs as State Farm agents won a record-breaking $157 million settlement (UPI, 4/29/92).
"The US Equal Opportunity Commission in 1980 found that State Farm refused to recruit blacks, Hispanics and women as vigorously as whites and males and had restricted female and minority employees to lower-paying jobs within the company" (Houston Chronicle, 6/23/89). Black and Hispanic women won $12 million in a similar suit in Texas.
Most recently, State Farm joined several large insurers in a 1997 lawsuit attempting to restrict zip code data in Texas, which consumer advocates believe would show current redlining practices (Journal of Commerce, 8/15/97).
And finally, State Farm is currently facing a redlining lawsuit by a class of African-American plaintiffs in Louisiana.
State Farm now faces another lawsuit for its acts of racial discrimination in Federal Court in Las Vegas, NV--- a case involving a white male driver who hit a Black woman pedestrian in a crosswalk. State Farm launched an attack against this injured Black woman after a white driver struck and injured her.
QUOTED FROM THE JUSTICES- Campbell v. State Farm, (Utah):
"For over two decades, State Farm set monthly caps andindividually rewarded those insurance adjusters who paid less thanthe market value for claims," wrote the four judges of the 4-1majority ruling.
"Agents changed the contents of files, lied tocustomers, and committed other dishonest and fraudulent acts in order to meet financial goals."

" State Farm has sold as its product, peace of mind, using an advertising slogan which promises that consumers can count on it to act "Like a good neighbor." Merritt v. State Farm Insurance --:544 S.E.2d 180 Georgia
Court of Appeals allowed the plaintiff to proceed with RICO claims against State Farm. Merritt sued State Farm Insurance Co.for fraud, misrepresentation, false swearing, and violations of the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

THE ENTIRE HEALTH CARE & INSURANCE MESS IS OUT OF CONTROL:
Nearly everyday we see stories in the news about the problems at hospitals and clinics. Doctors are quitting. There is a shortage of nurses. More people are dying at the hands of hospitals. Doctors are over-worked.
Auto insurance companies arbitrarily refuse to pay claims. Politicians are trying to give major insurance companies more privileges to continue screwing the consumers.
If this present system (health care and insurance) was really about "care"---and not a big commercial business, we would not have all this going on. I think that insurance and clinics need to go to a more "non-profit" service type set up ---on the order of public schools. Our nation has gone to pot over money. GREED. This mess is not about CARE...it is about MONEY. The schools are messed up too. The INS is dysfunctional. And the insurance companies are promoting "caps" for the lawsuits regarding malpractice---while they act to the detriment of consumers. Insurance companies are part of the problem in the health care industry.
RESEARCH SHOWS:
That the states who have put "caps" on Jury Awards for these types of "mal-practice cases" have seen NO DECREASE in Insurance costs or lower premiums for the Doctors.

Thousands of doctors, attorneys and citizens piled into a conference with the State Insurance Commissioner on Mon. Mar. 4, 2002 to show their opposition to the rising insurance costs. The meeting rooms were packed....not even standing room left. Many people stood outside.
And now the problem has reached a crisis in Nevada because the Insurance companies are charging outrageous rates for Mal-practice Insurance. This crisis presents terrible consequences for the general public, because without medical care, the quality of life will be severely diminished.
Even now the Commissioner stated that she "could not force the insurance companies to operate at a loss."
AT A LOSS ?!!! The Insurance Industry has more money than God!!! Maybe some governmental agency or the Senate should investigate how much money the insurance executives earn, what they spend on those high rise glass buildings, and how much they spend in Court trying to evade payment of injury claims!!!
The health care system is suffering at the hands of these greedy dictators!!

WIDESPREAD CORRUPTION:
If you have had trouble collecting a claim from a major insurance company, you are not alone. Millions of people have been cheated out of money due to them because of injuries and other damages.
'Bad Faith' insurance practices are widespread and make huge profits for the insurance companies. The Insurance company adjusters and their reps who practice "bad faith" will use any excuse, lie or other deceptive actions in order to evade payment. Most states have laws that prohibit insurance companies from evading payment, but who enforces these laws?
And many of them get away with it because our politicians, government officials, Judges, Governors, Senators, state insurance commissions, etc.---permit it.
Some of their illegal 'bad faith' actions include:
a) Using IME doctors to write bogus medical reports.
In this scenario....they will pay a doctor to say that the claimants injuries are from " old injuries" and then seek to go over every medical ailment that the claimant ever had and put on a 3-ring circus performance in Court over past ailments--that may not even be similar to the injuries being claimed.
b) Paying 'experts' to lie in court hearings and during litigation.
Insurance companies will find crooked experts, doctors and psychologists and pay them to testify ( and tell lies) in Court.
c) Slandering anyone who makes a claim against the insurance company.
The purpose of this type of activity is to make the claimant look bad before the jury.
d) Fraud, deception, and other crooked acts.
Some major insurance companies have been known to fabricate medical records, change what doctors wrote, bribe doctors to change the diagnosis...and a lot worse !!
